New Member appointed to City Centre Company Board
Plymouth City Centre Company’s Board has appointed a new member boosting its number to eight.
City businessman Christian Carson was officially co-opted onto the Board, chaired by Richard Davis, at its meeting last week.
Christian owns the Jake’s café brand with operations on Cornwall Street and Regent Street. Having started Jake’s 15 years ago, Christian has an expert knowledge of city centre trading and will
represent the views of his fellow retailers and business owners at Board level.
Christian Carson said “I’m delighted to take a place on the City Centre Company Board working to support city centre businesses and helping to improve, where possible, the trading environment and customer experience.
“This is an excellent opportunity to really make a difference for all city centre businesses and the hundreds of thousands of visitors here every year.”
Richard Davis, Chair of Plymouth City Centre Company said “Christian’s experience and insight in terms of city centre trading make him a valuable addition to our board. I’m delighted that Christian is volunteering his time in this way to support his fellow city centre businesses to help the City Centre Company deliver some real improvements and benefits for all traders.”
