Events are added as normal posts – but with one exception. You will need to scroll down to the bottom of the page under “Add New Post”
At the very bottom there is an Event Editor – click the plus sign.
Select the start date and time – and the finish date and time.
Then scroll back up a hit publish. The rest is done for you.
